Across The Universe

I just saw this movie about a week ago, and I loved it. And I'll tell you why. "Across the Universe"features 34 Beatles' songs (Beatles fan) and includes cameo's by Bono, Eddie Izzard, Salma Hayek, and Joe Cocker. Joe Cocker delivers a stellar vocal, singing "Come Together" While Bono and Eddie Izzard produce fun and entertaining version of "I am Walrus" and "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite" respectively. Excluding the big stars, T.V. Caprio (Prudence) delivered the best version of "I Want to Hold Your Hand" I have ever heard, Joe Anderson's (Max) "Hey Jude" was not the best I have ever heard but I still thoroughly enjoyed it, and Jim Sturgess, WOW. Everything Jim sang I enjoyed, from "All You Need is Love" to "Revolution". Evan Rachel Wood's entire performance was amazing but I don't feel like the producers capitalized on her voice. Even when the cast sang together(I normally don't like) I loved it. Especially there interpretation of "Dear Prudence" and "With a Little Help from My Friends". Simply amazing. Oh and one more song I would like to point out as phenomenal "Let it Be"preformed by Carrol Woods. Besides that, the entire story is based on Beatles music. All of the major and minor characters are based on Beatles song's. So I look at this film like a long and enjoyable music video for the Beatles. My hat is off to the Julie Taymor the director and co-writer, thank you for this wonderful film.

I seriously suggest renting this movie, buying this movie, and even buying the soundtrack. I DID. However when buying the soundtrack make sure and buy the Deluxe edition. I didn't and ended up having to buy the deluxe to get all the songs I wanted.
